Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland ceramic vase “Orchids”, Art Nouveau, model 326 D, Gouda (1919).
Hand painted, decorated with a beautiful floral composition of orchids. The flowers are painted in vibrant tones, with details in blue, green and orange-brown.
The orchids are arranged in two main groups, one at the front of the vase and one at the back. The flowers are surrounded by green leaves and curved stems.
The bottom of the vase bears the Holland factory signature marked MS in paint, along with the model number “326 D” in a blind stamp.
The vase is in mint condition. It has no cracks, breaks or chips. The paint is intact and the colors are bright. This is an original piece, an example of the excellent quality and craftsmanship of the prestigious Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland pottery factory in Gouda.
