Pair of refined French Wall Panels made in France circa 1910–1920, created within the elegant Belle Époque taste with strong Louis XVI Revival influence and subtle neoclassical nuances characteristic of early 20th-century French decorative arts. These decorative wall pieces feature a slender vertical composition covered in brocaded silk over a thin rigid wooden support, crowned by delicate classical putti holding cornucopias executed in patinated gilt-toned metal.

Each of these French Wall Panels incorporates two circular medallions in decorated metal with relief palmettes and beaded borders, enclosing small hand-painted floral compositions protected beneath convex glass. The lower section is finished with a molded ornamental metal flower, reinforcing the decorative and theatrical character of the ensemble.

The reverse retains its original red textile backing, a finish commonly found on quality French decorative objects from this period. This detail, together with the wooden inner support and the combined use of metal, painting, and textile work, reinforces the handcrafted and authentically period character of the pair.

Particularly striking is the visual richness created by the combination of brocaded silk, patinated metal, floral miniatures, and classical ornamental motifs. The result is a sophisticated and uncommon ensemble evocative of the refined interiors of Parisian apartments and bourgeois maisons of the early 20th century. These French Wall Panels also offer an elegant vertical presence, especially suited to classic interiors and French-inspired decorative settings.

Condition:
Very good antique overall condition, with light wear and minor signs of aging consistent with age and use. The French Wall Panels retain excellent decorative presence, good structural integrity, and an attractive aged patina across both the metallic and textile elements, as well as the interior painted medallions.
