    This Delft Plate, a tin-glazed earthenware piece produced in Delft (the Netherlands) in the 18th century (ca. 1750–1790), represents one of the most characteristic expressions of Dutch ceramic art of the period. With a diameter of 27 cm (10.6″), it belongs to the category of pieces created both for refined table use and for display in interiors of cultivated taste.

    The decoration, hand-painted in cobalt blue on a white tin glaze, is arranged in eight radial sections that alternate deep-blue triangular panels with stylized floral motifs. At the center, a three-flower medallion structures the composition and reinforces its visual balance. Tonal variations in the pigment, visible brushwork, and the fine crazing of the glaze attest to its handcrafted origin and genuine 18th-century character. As a Delft Plate, it exemplifies the traditional Dutch mastery of cobalt decoration.
