More information
Art Deco German perfume bottle executed in pressed, satin-finished amber glass, c. 1930. This Art Deco German perfume bottle presents a prismatic body of polygonal section set on a broad faceted foot, with figurative relief panels showing nude female figures in different poses—drapery lifted by the air, dance-like attitudes—contrasting satin areas with clear, polished planes. The composition culminates in a tall, faceted fan-shaped stopper whose stepped geometry echoes the base and extends the vertical thrust of the design. The warm amber tone and the alternation of matte and glossy surfaces produce a rich play of light that is quintessentially Deco and distinctly interwar German in character.
The glass is mold-pressed and later acid-satin finished on the relief panels, with polished facets to edges, foot, and stopper. Close views reveal small internal air bubbles and faint flow lines, typical of period production and valued as authentic traces of manufacture, not as defects. At an impressive 29 cm / 11.42 in overall height, the piece reads as much as a sculptural object as a functional container—ideal for glass collectors and professional decorators seeking an authentic, luminous Deco accent.
